Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis ceramic wall light with its gently waved edges turns into a ceiling light whenever you want it to. Sculptural and compact, the ceramic wall light sets a ceramic corolla against a globe of pure white opal glass. It gives a wall or a ceiling a soft, almost floral presence.
What makes this ceramic wall light unusual is how far it travels. It fixes to a wall or to a ceiling, which lets it suit an alcove, a low hallway, an entrance or a bathroom without changing character, and in a house with 2.4 m ceilings that flexibility is worth having. At 12 cm in diameter by 25 cm high, the ceramic wall light stays discreet while holding a very graphic outline. The premium ceramic corolla with its waved edges recalls the shape of a flower or a shell, and it works as a reflector: it guides the light and bounces it gently back. At the centre, the opal glass globe in a white finish gives an even brightness with no hot spot and no glare. Together they produce a calming halo that serves as ambient light or as a secondary source. Fitted as a pair either side of a bed or a mirror, this ceramic wall light makes a delicate symmetry, which is the usual reason for ordering two. Alone in a corner, it becomes a small sculptural object around which the rest of the room arranges itself. Its minimal, organic register suits japandi, Scandinavian and contemporary rooms, where the material counts as much as the shape.
The choice of materials is what separates this ceramic wall light from an ordinary fitting. The wall base is made of precision metal, which gives a clean fixing and a slim profile against the wall. The premium ceramic of the corolla is offered in two colours, deep black or pure white, to suit your palette, while the globe stays white opal glass. The wiring is integrated, which simplifies the installation and preserves the purity of the lines. For light, the ceramic wall light takes a single standard G9 capsule lampholder, for a bulb of 10 W maximum, incandescent or LED equivalent, not supplied with the fitting. It is also dimmer compatible, the dimmer sold separately, so the light can run from the softest night light to something frank enough to work by. It is certified for damp locations, which makes the ceramic wall light right for bathrooms and covered outdoor spaces, and it meets North American, Australian, European and Middle Eastern standards. Ceramic with a glass globe is never weightless, so confirm the fixing with your electrician where the wall is dry-lined rather than solid, which is often the case behind bathroom board. Its small format, sculptural corolla and lit globe make a fitting with real character that still does not impose.
Start with the colour of the corolla. Pure white settles into pale walls, plaster and bright bathrooms, where it merges with the room while keeping its waved relief. Deep black underlines the drawing of the ceramic and makes a graphic contrast on a white, beige or stone wall. In a bathroom, set the ceramic wall light near the mirror for a soft light on the face, checking with your electrician that the position matches the damp-location rating. In a hallway, repeat the shape at regular intervals to make a rhythm of light. On a ceiling, this ceramic wall light becomes a small sculptural ceiling light that suits entrances, dressing rooms and alcoves. Think about the bulb too: a low-output LED is more than enough behind an opal globe, because its even diffusion makes the most of the smallest source. If you are weighing it against other formats, remember that the appeal of this ceramic wall light is its compactness: it stays easy to combine with other fittings without competing with them. Mounted at shoulder height or above, it gives a halo that falls gently down the wall. One last practical note: because the wiring is integrated, the supply has to arrive at the centre of the base, so mark that point and have your electrician confirm it before anything is drilled. A ceramic wall light is not a fitting you want to reposition once the corolla is on the wall, and making good a tiled surface afterwards is the part nobody enjoys.
A waved corolla, an opal globe and the choice of wall or ceiling: this ceramic wall light offers a singular silhouette and genuine range. Choose your colour at Alborra and give the room a light that is soft and sculptural at once.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
