Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis ceramic pendant light comes in three plain shapes: the pebble, the cylinder and the flask. Its semi-translucent ceramic shade, its iron mount with a brushed brass finish and its twisted fabric cord give it a warm Nordic character, and it lets the material and the soft light that passes through it speak for themselves.
The shade of this ceramic pendant light is semi-translucent ceramic with a ribbed, fluted finish. The grooves run around the shade and catch the light, so that the glow seems to travel through the wall of the material rather than simply fall from it. The three shapes are chosen for their calm. The pebble measures 13.5 cm across and 11.3 cm high, the cylinder 12.8 cm across and 14.5 cm high, and the flask 7.5 cm across and 22 cm high. A ceramic pendant light in one of these forms is small enough to be grouped, and the differences in height make a group of three look composed rather than matched, which suits a kitchen island or a long table. The mount and cap are in iron with a brushed brass finish, a soft gold that stays quieter than polished metal, and on this ceramic pendant light the twisted fabric cord adds a slightly older, handmade note. The overall look belongs to Nordic minimalism: pale, tactile, restrained, and happy beside oak, linen and plaster. Each shade is made of ceramic, so slight variations of tone and surface from one piece to another are normal and add to its character. The pale, tactile surface of this ceramic pendant light changes with the hour, from a matt, pale shade in daylight to a warm glow after dark.
This ceramic pendant light hangs from a suspension cable of 200 cm, adjustable to length, which gives you room to set the height exactly. The wiring is a twisted fabric cord of the vintage kind, so the drop looks as considered as the shade. The light source is an LED bulb, and a warm white is recommended, since it brings out the glow of the ceramic and the tone of the brushed brass. A ceramic pendant light lit by a warm white bulb shows the grooves of the shade as fine lines of light and shadow, which a cool white would flatten. The recommended lighting area is 10 to 15 square metres, and the supply is 220 V. The settings suggested are the dining room, the kitchen island, the restaurant and the lounge, which tells you the fitting is meant for the main rooms of a home as well as for a commercial space. A ceramic pendant light with a long adjustable cable is easy to place, because you do not need to match the ceiling height to the fitting: you cut the drop to suit the room. We recommend a qualified electrician for the connection, as for any fixed light. Choosing between the three shapes is a matter of proportion, since the technical details are the same for all of them.
Over a kitchen island, the pebble and the cylinder are the easiest to live with, because their height of 11.3 and 14.5 cm keeps the view across the worktop open. The flask, at 22 cm high and only 7.5 cm across, makes a slim ceramic pendant light, better suited to a corner, a staircase or a narrow console. In a room with a 2.40 m ceiling, the usual guideline puts the lowest point of a pendant at 2.10 m above the finished floor, so over an island or table you will shorten the 200 cm cable considerably, and the lowest point is then set by the worktop rather than by the floor. A ceramic pendant light in a group of three, at three different heights, makes a better composition than three at the same level. With 10 to 15 square metres of lighting area for each fitting, one is enough for a small table, and two or three are right for a long island. Pair them with warm bulbs, pale timber and natural textiles. Whichever shape you choose, set the same cord length on each so that the heights are your decision, not an accident of installation.
Semi-translucent ribbed ceramic, brushed brass on iron and a twisted cord: this ceramic pendant light is a restrained fitting for the table or the island. Choose the shape that suits your proportions and let the soft light do the rest.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
