This three-spot travertine ceiling light brings together three independent adjustable spots, each topped by a cylindrical shade of real travertine, on a round solid wood base. It measures 30 cm across by 19 cm high and fixes to the wall as to the ceiling. A fitting that is both sculptural and practical.

A three-spot travertine ceiling light with adjustable heads

The particular feature of this three-spot travertine ceiling light is its three independent, articulated spots: each head is aimed separately, thanks to precision-metal ball joints in a gold finish. You can direct one beam at a wall, another at a reading corner and the third at the middle of the room, without multiplying fittings. At 30 cm in diameter and 19 cm high, the three-spot travertine ceiling light has a controlled footprint for a fitting with three sources, which makes it valuable in medium-sized rooms. Under a ceiling of 2.40 m, the 19 cm drop of the three-spot travertine ceiling light leaves a clear height of about 2.21 m. It fixes to the wall or the ceiling, with integrated electrical wiring in both cases, which multiplies the possible positions: entrance, hallway, kitchen, bedroom or sitting room. The round base, or canopy, is of solid wood, in a walnut-colour finish or natural wood according to the look you want. It serves as a warm anchor for the three heads of the three-spot travertine ceiling light and makes a soft transition between the ceiling or wall and the stone of the shades. The cylindrical shades, in real travertine with a textured, warm tone, give the three-spot travertine ceiling light its identity: their visible grain at once recalls natural stone. Because each head is independent, one fixing point does the work of three separate lights. Switched off, they draw three small pale cylinders that stand out on a dark wall; lit, they aim the light precisely.

Technical details of the three-spot travertine ceiling light

This three-spot travertine ceiling light has three standard E27 Edison screw (ES) sockets, listed as E26/E27, one per spot, for a recommended power of up to 40W per head. The bulbs, incandescent or LED equivalent, are not included, so order them with the fitting. The three-spot travertine ceiling light is compatible with a dimmer, also not included, which sets the light of all three heads together. The travertine of the shades is real, with a textured warm tone, and combines with the solid wood of the base to make a pair of natural materials. The gold ball joints and accents of the three-spot travertine ceiling light punctuate the whole with touches of gold that answer the warmth of the wood. The three-spot travertine ceiling light is rated for wet zones, which allows use in a bathroom or a covered outdoor space. It is stated to conform to North American, Australian, European and Middle East standards, which lets you compare its features calmly with other ceiling lights. With three independent sources, the fitting spreads light over several points rather than through a single bowl, which avoids a uniformly lit ceiling. For your electrician: three sockets, 40W per head at most, 30 cm by 19 cm, wiring built in for ceiling or wall.

Aiming a three-spot travertine ceiling light well

To make the most of a three-spot travertine ceiling light, begin by deciding what each head should light: an artwork, a worktop, a seat or simply the wall. The ball joints then let you refine the direction according to the layout of your furniture, each head staying independent of the other two. In an entrance, fix the three-spot travertine ceiling light to the ceiling for central lighting; in a hallway, prefer the wall, so as to direct the spots along the way. The three-spot travertine ceiling light can also find a place in a bathroom, where its wet-zone rating makes it suitable, or on a covered outdoor space. As for bulbs, it accepts three identical bulbs for an even light, or different powers, within the limit of 40W per head. A warm tone shows off the grain of the travertine, while a dimmer, bought separately, adapts the light to the time of day. Think of visual balance too: in the centre of a wall or a ceiling, the three heads of the three-spot travertine ceiling light make a regular composition that reads as a small architectural decoration. If the room already has other light sources, the three-spot travertine ceiling light then acts as a directed, decorative accent light, without competing with the rest. Two such fittings, one each side of a chimney breast or a mirror, would give a symmetrical result. Wipe the stone and wood with a dry cloth, with the power off.

This three-spot travertine ceiling light combines three adjustable spots, real travertine shades and a solid wood base in a format of 30 cm by 19 cm. It fixes to wall or ceiling and suits many spaces. Choose your base finish and aim the light as you like.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.

    How we choose a light

    A light for every room

A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.

    Stone, not an imitation

The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.

A third of our lights have a built-in LED: nothing to buy. The others take a standard bulb, which is generally not supplied. The bulb cap type is on the product page.

Will my stone light be identical to the photo?

No, and that is deliberate: travertine and alabaster are real stones, and the veining differs from one piece to the next. The shape and dimensions, however, are as specified.

Can I install a light in a bathroom?

Some models. The ‘bathroom zone rating’ entry appears on the relevant product pages — without it, keep the light for dry rooms.
