Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis circular wood wall light, 20 cm across, sets a textured terrazzo body on a solid wood base in walnut or natural timber. The integrated LED of the wood wall light draws an indirect halo on the surface behind it. It fixes to a wall or to a ceiling, as the room requires.
At 20 cm in diameter and only 4.5 cm deep, this wood wall light takes the form of a flat disc, almost a round of material laid against the surface as a graphic object. The main body of the wood wall light is premium terrazzo, a material made of textured mineral aggregates: you can pick out chips and grains of stone against an even ground, in the way the floors of Italian architecture do. The base is solid wood, offered in a walnut or a natural timber finish, and it is the base that brings warmth to the mineral. That pairing of stone and timber puts the wood wall light firmly among the natural materials. For light, its high-output integrated LED works as an indirect halo: nothing shines into the eye, the light spills around the disc and washes the surface behind, drawing an even lit outline. This kind of ambient light is right when you want background rather than task lighting, in an entrance, a hallway, a bedroom or a bathroom. The wiring is integrated, so no cable shows, and the slim depth lets the wood wall light stay discreet on a flat wall or in a corner. Its small footprint explains its range: you notice the material, never the bulk.
The particular feature of this wood wall light is its universal mounting: the fitting goes on a wall or on a ceiling, which multiplies what it can do. On a ceiling it becomes a small flat ceiling light, useful in a low hallway, a narrow entrance or a cupboard; on a wall it acts as a decorative accent. The premium terrazzo and the solid wood make an object whose material is visible even when it is switched off. The integrated LED of the wood wall light is quoted at around 50,000 hours and a colour temperature of 3000 K, a warm white that agrees with the timber and softens the grain of the terrazzo. It carries a damp-location certification, suited to bathrooms and covered outdoor spaces, and meets North American, Saudi, European and Australian standards. In a bathroom that means a single wood wall light can serve both the corner by the mirror and the passage beside it, which simplifies the decisions. The low build of 4.5 cm matters as much for circulation: in a house with 2.4 m ceilings, a ceiling-mounted disc of this depth takes nothing from the headroom, and nothing projects far enough to catch a shoulder or a carried box. Confirm the fixing with your electrician before drilling.
An indirect halo works best when the disc has a little space around it. Think about the sightline: mounted on a wall the disc reads head on, while on a ceiling it reads from below and the halo spreads across the surface around it. Avoid crowding your wood wall light against a frame, a tall cabinet or the angle of a ceiling, which would mask the lit outline. On a smooth, pale wall the halo is at its clearest and the outline cuts sharply. In a hallway, a run of discs spaced at regular intervals makes a soft punctuation of light. In a bedroom, a wood wall light above the headboard acts as a discreet sun. On a bathroom ceiling it will handle the general light for a small area. The walnut finish suits dark timber furniture and the natural finish the paler tones, so the fitting carries on the rest of the room rather than interrupting it. Isolate the circuit before connecting, and leave the installation to an electrician if that is not familiar work. A soft dry cloth is enough to clean the mineral surface of the wood wall light, provided you keep abrasives away from it. If you are undecided between the two timber finishes, look at the floor and the joinery already in the room: whichever tone recurs is the one that will make the wood wall light look as though it had always been there.
A disc of terrazzo, a solid wood base and a warm halo: this wood wall light adapts to the room, on the wall or on the ceiling. Choose your timber finish and add it to your basket.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
