Description
keyboard_arrow_downA suspended travertine wall light brings together a shade of real stone, a sphere of solid walnut and a black tubular arm. A rose in solid walnut dresses the wall fixing. This geometric drawing, 17 cm high, gives a wall an unexpected relief.
This travertine wall light is called suspended because its shade appears to float at the end of an arm, like a ceiling piece brought across to the wall. The tubular arm in black metal, in an architectural finish, draws a clean line between the wall rose and the cone of stone. The width of the shade, 12 cm, stays measured, and the overall height of the cone and the sphere reaches 17 cm. A travertine wall light of this scale can flank a mirror, give a hallway rhythm or accompany a headboard, without taking up any floor space. The shade in real travertine has a porous finish that catches the light and reveals the small reliefs of the stone. The sphere and the rose in solid walnut bring this travertine wall light the warmth of a true timber, which answers its mineral side. That trio of materials, stone, timber and black metal, makes a balance both graphic and organic. In a contemporary interior, a travertine wall light of this build plays the part of a small sculpture, visible by day as much as by night. Anyone who cares about honest materials will find a piece where each one keeps its own personality. Around it, a plain or rendered wall shows the lines without competing with them. The balanced silhouette of a travertine wall light like this settles on a low wall as readily as on a high one.
This travertine wall light connects through integrated wiring, with a supply of 110 to 240V that covers ordinary domestic mains. It takes a standard E27 Edison screw (ES) bulb cap, into which goes a bulb sold separately, of 40W incandescent maximum or the LED equivalent. The model is compatible with dimmers, which lets the mood be set by the hour. The rating for damp locations makes this travertine wall light a coherent choice for a bathroom or a spa. The real travertine of the shade, paired with the solid walnut of the sphere and the rose, gives the whole a tactile warmth. The tubular arm in black metal makes the join between wall and shade with a very crisp architectural finish. With a shade of 12 cm and an overall height of 17 cm, a travertine wall light of these proportions crowds no wall, and that modest height is a practical point in a room of 2.4 m. The geometric format plays on volumes, a cone for the shade and a sphere for the accent, making a pair of simple forms. A travertine wall light of this kind differs from a conventional piece through its suspended structure, which frees the wall beneath the shade. Stone and timber being natural, every example keeps its own variations of tone and grain.
To choose where your travertine wall light goes, think first about the clear space around the sphere, because a suspended drawing likes room to breathe. A bare wall at eye level shows it better than an area crowded with frames or shelves. On the electrics, the wiring of this travertine wall light is integrated, so allow for the supply at the chosen point and leave the fitting to a professional. For the bulb, stay at 40W maximum in incandescent, or choose an LED equivalent in a warm tone, which sits well with the pale stone. Against a travertine wall light without an arm, this suspended version brings a play of depth and a more graphic cast shadow. In a bathroom or a spa, thanks to the damp rating, it can flank a slim-framed mirror, echoing the black arm. In a bedroom, a pair of them either side of the bed makes a serene arrangement, very much in keeping with natural interiors, and that pairing means two units. To warm the result, add a compatible dimmer and a warm bulb, and let the porous stone catch the light. Every travertine wall light keeps its own variation of tone, so two side by side will never be quite identical.
This suspended travertine wall light brings together a shade of real stone, a sphere and rose in solid walnut and a black tubular arm. Rated for damp locations, it suits bathrooms as well as spas. Make a wall plain and warm at once.

A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
