Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis sculptural marble wall light sets a disc of real white marble on a metal core in gold or chrome. Its grey veining is unique to each piece, and the 3000K LED behind it draws out the depth of the stone. At Alborra a marble wall light is conceived as a piece of sculpture for the wall.
Real white marble is the material of this marble wall light, and its natural grey veining makes every disc its own. No two pieces repeat the same veins, which is simply what natural stone does. At the centre, a core of precision metal in gold or chrome works as the jewel that sets off the stone. This marble wall light comes in three sizes, S at 20 cm across and 20 cm high, M at 25 cm and L at 30 cm. In each size the diameter equals the height, which gives the whole a graphic steadiness on the wall. A marble wall light hangs like a picture, with the difference that it gives light. The white of the stone takes on the warmth of the 3000K source, and the marble softens with it. A large lounge wall carries the L happily, while the S finds its place in a smaller room. Read as an object rather than a lamp, a marble wall light can stand alone or be grouped in several sizes. Three discs of different sizes, aligned or staggered, make a mineral triptych above a sofa. The gold or chrome finishes let a marble wall light agree with the other metals already in the room, from door furniture to tap ware.
This marble wall light is rated for damp locations, which opens it to bathrooms and to covered outdoor spaces. Putting a disc of stone in a bathroom becomes possible because of that rating, and it widens what stone can do indoors. The source is an integrated high-performance LED module, quoted at around 50,000 hours. That working life means the bulb is not something to think about for many years of use. On a marble wall light with an integrated LED, the quoted life counts for as much as the drawing. The 3000K colour temperature stays warm and agrees with the veined white of the stone. It is compatible with a dimmer, not supplied, so the mood can move from daytime to evening. Wiring is integrated and mounting is on the wall, for a clean fit with no flex in view. Compliance covers North American, Australian, European and Middle Eastern standards. On this marble wall light the gold or chrome core adds a bright edge against the pale stone, and all three sizes share the same LED and the same rating. That consistency matters when two sizes go up on the same wall, because the light from one matches the light from the other exactly.
To compose with a marble wall light, begin with the wall, because stone wants a calm background. On pale render or smooth concrete the white disc stands out gently, while on a dark wall it reads as luminous. Above a hall console, the 25 cm M size works as the centrepiece, and because the disc is only as tall as it is wide, a marble wall light of that size leaves the ceiling line undisturbed in a narrow hall. In a bathroom, the damp rating lets you place it where the air is humid for part of the day. Against glass, marble brings weight, texture and the sense of cut stone, and that density is felt before the light is even switched on. Put a marble wall light with brushed brass, pale timber or white ceramic for a quiet scheme. Choose the chrome finish for a cool, contemporary room and the gold for a warmer one. The disc wants space around it, since its appeal rests on a pattern no other piece shares. Avoid crowding it with ornaments and leave a margin of bare wall around the stone. The integrated wiring leaves nothing hanging, and a marble wall light fitted this way stays neat. One is usually enough to make a wall, though a marble wall light on each side of a mirror is the arrangement a bathroom tends to ask for, and that means ordering two.
In short, this marble wall light in real white marble pairs a gold or chrome metal core with an integrated 3000K LED module and a rating for damp locations. It is for anyone who wants a mineral piece on the wall. Choose the size your wall asks for, and let the stone speak for itself once the light is on.
