Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis travertine flush ceiling light brings together a dome of real travertine, a dome of solid wood in a walnut finish and a white opal glass globe. It fixes to the ceiling or the wall, and measures 25 cm across by 17 cm high. A compact fitting for careful contemporary interiors and rooms where material counts as much as light.
The great strength of this travertine flush ceiling light is its versatility: the same fitting mounts on the ceiling or the wall, with integrated electrical wiring. That double installation lets you choose the position according to the room, whether lighting an entrance from the ceiling or framing a mirror from the wall. At 25 cm in diameter and 17 cm high, the travertine flush ceiling light stays compact and fits without crushing the space, even in a narrow hallway or a small bathroom. Under a ceiling of 2.40 m, a drop of 17 cm leaves a clear height of about 2.23 m, above the 2.10 m that a passage requires. The travertine flush ceiling light is rated for wet zones, which suits it to bathrooms and covered outdoor spaces, two places where a stone fitting is often hesitated over. The real travertine, pale and warm in tone, brings a mineral warmth that lifts a pale wall or a white ceiling. The solid wood of the dome and canopy, in a walnut-colour finish, gives the travertine flush ceiling light a darker contrast that adds structure without weighing the whole down. Two of them, one each side of a mirror, are the classic arrangement, and the wall option makes that simple. Set above a basin, in an entrance or on a bedroom wall, the travertine flush ceiling light plays the part of a decorative object as much as a light source, and stays elegant when switched off.
This travertine flush ceiling light works with a single standard G9 capsule socket, which takes a bulb of 10W maximum, incandescent or LED equivalent. The bulb is not included, so allow for it when buying, respecting that power limit. The fitting is compatible with a dimmer, also not included, to pass from a service light to a mood light. On this travertine flush ceiling light, the premium opal glass diffuser globe, in white, softens the light and hides the bulb. Above it, the dome of real travertine and the solid wood dome in a walnut colour form a simple, readable architecture that is easy to recognise. The contrast between pale stone, brown wood and white glass gives three distinct textures in a volume of only 25 cm in diameter. It is stated to conform to North American, Australian, European and Middle East standards, a useful marker for comparing the fitting with other references. The wet-zone rating of the travertine flush ceiling light widens the range of uses: bathroom, covered outdoor space, but also entrance or kitchen. Each material has its function in the travertine flush ceiling light: stone for character, wood for warmth, glass for diffusing the light. For your electrician, the figures to hand are the single G9 socket, 10W maximum, 25 cm by 17 cm, and the wet-zone rating. Have the wiring done by a qualified electrician.
For a travertine flush ceiling light of 25 cm, the bathroom is an ideal place, since the data sheet gives a wet-zone rating. Fix it to the wall above the basin or either side of a mirror for side lighting, or to the ceiling for a central, diffuse light. On a covered terrace or balcony, the fitting also finds its place, the rating being aimed at covered outdoor spaces. As for the bulb, the travertine flush ceiling light accepts a G9 capsule of 10W maximum, incandescent or LED equivalent, according to the tone of light you prefer. Add a dimmer if you wish to vary the mood, for example in a bathroom where you move from waking up to winding down in the evening. In an entrance or hallway, the 17 cm height keeps the way clear, while the dome shape gives the wall some relief. Several travertine flush ceiling lights fitted in a row, above a vanity unit or along a hallway, set a regular rhythm. Wipe the travertine with a dry, soft cloth, and switch off at the mains before cleaning or changing the bulb. Remember that the bulb and the dimmer are bought separately, two purchases to plan so that the installation goes ahead without delay.
This travertine flush ceiling light joins a dome of real stone, a solid wood dome in a walnut finish and an opal glass globe in a format of 25 cm by 17 cm. Fixed to the ceiling or the wall, it suits dry rooms as well as wet zones. Add it to your interior for a soft light and an object of character.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
