Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis travertine wall light is a small rectangular wall spot, 16 cm high, that throws a downward beam. Its structure brings natural travertine together with metal and wood. It is a discreet travertine wall light, made for accent lighting in hallways, entrances and against columns.
Not every wall fitting sets out to light a whole room: this one works on precision. The travertine wall light is a rectangular wall spot of the downlight kind, 16 cm high by 6.5 cm wide. The beam of this travertine wall light points downward: the light falls along the wall, underlines the surface it washes and draws a clean cone without taking over the space. The specification gives a lit area of 3 m² to 5 m², which makes it accent lighting rather than general lighting: you use it to mark a passage, bring out a detail or guide the eye. The main material is natural travertine, set in a structure of metal and wood. The stone gives this small format its mineral dimension, and it makes the travertine wall light an object you look at as much as one you light with. The rectangular form, very plain, leaves the stone all the room: no ornament draws attention from the material, and the honed, matt surface is where the interest sits. At only 6.5 cm wide the fitting is genuinely discreet, which is the figure that matters in a narrow hall; it rewards being seen close up, when the light reveals the grain of the stone. Set in a run along a wall it creates a regular rhythm; on its own it becomes a marker. A travertine wall light of this size is for anyone who prefers nuance to display.
Technically, this travertine wall light takes a GU10 cap, given in the specification as the recommended lamp for the format. It is a widespread standard for small spots and suits a directed beam well, so a replacement is easy to find. The GU10 and the downward beam belong together: the spot concentrates the light where it is useful. Accepted supply runs from 90 to 260 V AC, a wide range covering many electrical networks, and it is the first figure to pass to your electrician. Installation of this travertine wall light is on the wall; the specification names hallways, columns and entrances as typical positions, places of passage where an accent light earns its keep. On compliance, the travertine wall light is CE certified and covered by a three-year warranty. The dimensions of this travertine wall light are minimal, 16 cm high and 6.5 cm wide, which lets it go where a bulkier fitting would be in the way, and under a 2.4 m ceiling that shallow profile is what keeps a hallway feeling clear. The 3 to 5 m² lit area is a reminder of its purpose: it accents, it does not replace a flush ceiling light. The whole makes a coherent fitting, in which the natural travertine, the metal and wood structure and the downward beam complete one another for a simple, legible result.
The positions named in the specification, hallway, column and entrance, guide the choice. In a hallway, several spots aligned at the same height create a cadence, each lighting 3 to 5 m². In an entrance, a single travertine wall light is enough to greet a visitor with a crisp light without crowding the passage. On a column, the downward beam brings out the vertical of the element and the texture of its surface. Since the beam points down, think about what it will land on: a floor, a console, the foot of a wall. Set the spot high enough for the light to cover the area you want, then let the stone do the rest. At 6.5 cm wide this travertine wall light slips into tight spaces where a conventional fitting would not go. In a larger room, pair the travertine wall light with a main light: it then supplies the accent, the note of material that gives the scheme relief. Repeating several of this travertine wall light, each cut from the same stone, builds a unity of reading across a space, and a travertine wall light is usually bought that way is the reason these are usually bought in twos or threes. Because the holder is a GU10, you can change the beam angle later simply by changing the lamp, a freedom an integrated LED does not give. Start with a narrow beam if you want the stone itself to catch the light, and a wider one if the job is to wash the floor of a passage.
A wall spot in natural travertine, a downward beam, a GU10 cap, CE certification and a three-year warranty: this travertine wall light brings precision and material together. All that is left is to choose the hallway, the entrance or the column it will underline, at Alborra.
