Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis travertine cube table lamp is a small, sculptural block of real travertine set on a solid wood base in a walnut finish. It carries an integrated LED and a USB charging port, so it gives a little supplementary light and a point of use every day. It comes in two widths, both 12 cm high.
Its compact volume is its first asset. The wider model of this travertine cube table lamp measures 10 cm in width and 12 cm in height, and the narrower one 7.5 cm by 12 cm. The lamp does not ask for a deep surface, which makes it useful where space is tight. These are small figures, and they are meant: the lamp is designed as an object to set on a shelf, a bedside table or a corner of a desk, where a larger light would take over. The main block of the travertine cube table lamp is real travertine, a natural stone with a textured surface, and its pores and tone differ from one piece to the next. The base is solid wood in a walnut finish, which gives the travertine cube table lamp a warm plinth and lifts it a little off the table. A travertine cube table lamp of this kind brings a mineral, architectural note to a bedside, and it sits well with a book, a glass and a small plant. The cubic form is plain and almost without ornament, so the interest rests entirely on the material. Where a bigger lamp would crowd a narrow shelf, a travertine cube table lamp can find a place between objects and give them a soft light of their own. It is a quiet piece that gains from being looked at closely.
The light source of the travertine cube table lamp is a high-performance integrated LED, with a lifespan of around 50,000 hours; it is not replaceable, so there is no bulb to buy and no cap to match. The colour temperature is a 3000 K warm white, which brings out the tone of the stone and keeps the glow soft. A USB charging port is built into the base of the travertine cube table lamp, a small convenience that lets a phone or a small accessory charge beside the lamp without another adapter on the table. Both models give the same warm light, so the choice is only one of width. The two models share the same height of 12 cm, which means they can be placed together on one shelf to compose a coherent pair. The travertine cube table lamp is for indoor use only. Because the block is travertine, it has a real weight for its size, and it should be placed on a flat, firm surface, away from the edge. The porous face of the stone should not be wetted; dust it with a soft dry cloth. With a width of only 10 cm or 7.5 cm, this travertine cube table lamp takes almost no footprint, and it can be moved from a bedside to a desk as needed. A warm light that does not dazzle and a charging port close at hand make it a practical object as well as a handsome one.
A travertine cube table lamp works well alone, as a point of light on a narrow shelf or a small table. It works equally well as a duo: the wide and the narrow model side by side, at the same height, make a composition with a gentle rhythm. On a bedside table, the travertine cube table lamp offers a light low enough for the end of the day, and the USB port keeps a phone charged within reach. On a desk, it adds a small, warm light beside a screen and a notebook. On a shelf with books and ceramics, it joins the group as an object that happens to light up. Because it is small, a travertine cube table lamp does not replace the main lighting of a room, and it should be seen as an accent or a night glow. For a harmonious scheme, keep the neighbouring materials natural: pale wood, linen, clay. If you place the travertine cube table lamp near a window, the daylight will bring out the texture of the stone during the day, and the 3000 K glow will take over at dusk. Under a 2.40 m ceiling this lamp, at only 12 cm, is no concern at all for clearance. Choose the wide model if you want more presence, and the narrow one for the tightest spaces.
A block of real travertine on a walnut-finish solid wood base, with a warm LED and a USB port: this travertine cube table lamp is small, useful and quietly handsome. Alborra offers it in two widths. Pick the one that fits your shelf.

A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
