Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis architectural travertine wall light sets a body of textured stone against a sculptural core in solid wood. Its 25 cm diameter gives it the presence of a decorative object while it remains a light in its own right. A travertine wall light of this kind is a piece of material before it is a source of light.
The authentic travertine gives this travertine wall light a textured skin of shifting tones and relief that the eye likes to travel over, honed and left matt rather than polished. At the centre, a sculptural core in solid wood, in a natural tone, warms the stone and sets up a conversation between two raw materials. Unlit, the travertine wall light reads as a low relief set on the wall, with a 25 cm diameter that occupies the space without overwhelming it. Lit, it spreads the light of a fully integrated LED module, in warm white at 3000 K, which brings the pores of the stone and the fibre of the timber to life. That warm light suits contemporary interiors that favour natural materials, from a sober lounge to a careful entrance. A travertine wall light of this format works alone, as a focal point, or as a pair either side of a headboard or a mirror, which is the usual arrangement. The electrical wiring is integrated, which leaves the visible face given over entirely to the material. For a room with character, the architectural format of this travertine wall light brings relief without loading the scheme. The stone and the natural timber agree with linen, plaster, wool and walls that are pale or sand-toned. It is a fitting that is looked at as much as it lights, and that changes with the hour.
This travertine wall light is rated for damp locations, which allows it in bathrooms and covered outdoor spaces. Being able to put a stone fitting in those rooms is a real advantage for anyone who wants travertine beside a basin or under a canopy. The source is a fully integrated LED module, stated at around 50,000 hours. This should be known before buying: the module is not replaceable, which makes the stated life a figure to take seriously. At 50,000 hours, this travertine wall light covers several years of daily use with no bulb to change. The colour temperature of 3000 K gives a warm white, easy on the eye and suited to unhurried hours. The 25 cm diameter, also given as 9.8 inches, belongs to an architectural format that leaves the wall room to breathe, and under a 2.4 m ceiling a disc that size reads best centred at about eye level rather than high up. Compliance covers the North American, Australian, European and Middle East standards, which is useful on a project outside France. For a travertine wall light, that combination of stone, solid wood and integrated technology stays consistent from the material through to the electrics. The whole makes a complete fitting, ready to be connected thanks to its integrated wiring, and the figures your electrician will want are the diameter, the fixed output and the damp rating.
In a bathroom, the travertine wall light goes beside the mirror or above a basin, where its damp rating earns its keep. The warm 3000 K light extends the warmth of the stone and the solid wood, and it flatters a face better than a cool downlight overhead. In a lounge or a bedroom this travertine wall light takes the part of a lit wall piece, hung above a console or facing a window. On a covered terrace it suits the setting its rating provides for, clear of direct rain. Against a fitting in metal or glass, a travertine wall light keeps a denser, more tactile presence that the light reveals rather than betrays. Think about mounting height, since a 25 cm travertine wall light reads better at eye level than close to the ceiling. The integrated wiring simplifies the connection, but the circuit must still be a compliant installation for the country concerned. Avoid repeating it along one wall: one is enough to carry a composition, and two in symmetry are enough to order a bedroom. That restraint in placing is what turns the stone into genuine wall decoration rather than a row of lights. A travertine wall light also rewards a wall that catches some daylight, since the texture of the stone is worth looking at long before the switch is used.
In short, this travertine wall light brings together a body of authentic stone, a solid wood core and an integrated 3000 K LED rated for damp locations. Add it to your interior and let the stone make the light, at Alborra.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
