Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis travertine wall light takes the form of a slender wall suspension, its lit body cut from raw real travertine. It comes in three models, all sharing a width of 6.5 cm and differing only in height. Its warm white LED and integrated wiring make a travertine wall light that is elegant without asking for attention.
Raw stone is the whole proposition. The body of this travertine wall light is genuine travertine left unpolished, so the open pores and the shifting bands of colour dress the LED behind them and the light arrives already softened by the material. A travertine wall light lit from inside the stone never produces a hard edge, however bright the module behind it. The three models differ only in length: the tallest measures 6.5 cm wide by 28.5 cm high, the middle one 26 cm high and the shortest 23.5 cm high. A width of 6.5 cm is what makes this travertine wall light genuinely useful in a British house, where the wall beside a door, the return by a window or the side of a staircase is often all the space there is. Behind the stone the solid wood in a walnut finish warms the whole fitting and gives the travertine wall light a back that is worth seeing from the side. The result stays plain, natural and plainly contemporary, and at eye level a travertine wall light of this profile is read as a line rather than as a fitting. Two of them at matched heights either side of a bed give the symmetry that the most common British wall light search is really describing, and three can be stepped up a staircase, rising with the flight rather than fighting it.
This travertine wall light carries a high-precision LED module, fully integrated into the body. Its stated life is around 50,000 hours, which is a remarkable span and comes with one condition worth knowing before you order: the LED is not replaceable. That makes a travertine wall light of this kind a long commitment rather than a housing for a consumable, so choose the position with some care and settle it before the wall is decorated. Its colour temperature of 3000 K is a warm white, close to a filament lamp, and it is what makes the fitting welcoming rather than functional. The travertine wall light is compatible with a dimmer, not included, so the output can be matched to the hour. It is rated for damp locations, which suits bathrooms and covered outdoor spaces, with the position settled against the zones by your electrician. The wiring is integrated and installation is on a wall or on a ceiling, which widens the options considerably, and a travertine wall light mounted high behaves as a very slim flush ceiling light in a hallway. No weight is published; stone of this length is not negligible, so match the fixings to the substrate and spread the load on plasterboard rather than relying on a single screw into the board. Ask your electrician to confirm the fixings for a travertine wall light of this length before the backplate goes up.
Start with how many and where. A middle model at 26 cm placed either side of a headboard gives a gentle symmetry, and because the three heights are so close together they read as a family rather than as a mixture. For something freer, combine the three models at different mounting heights so that the lengths of 28.5, 26 and 23.5 cm step across the wall; that works particularly well on a staircase, where the eye expects a rise. A travertine wall light fitted near a bathroom mirror makes full use of the damp rating, and in a living room the same fitting suits a niche, a bookcase or the wall behind a sofa, with 3000 K giving a very enveloping light. If you are unsure about length, the tallest travertine wall light at 28.5 cm structures a high wall best, while the shortest at 23.5 cm slips into an entrance or above a low cupboard. Remember that the LED is integrated and not replaceable when you choose, and treat the fitting as part of the room rather than a lamp in it.
With this travertine wall light in three models, you choose the length that suits your wall, between 23.5 and 28.5 cm. Its integrated 3000 K LED, its damp-location rating and its solid wood in a walnut finish make it a complete fitting, and the stone makes it a particular one.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
