Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis solid walnut flush ceiling light frames a concave opal glass diffuser lifted with touches of gold-finish metal. Compact, it fixes to the ceiling as to a wall and gives a warm white light. It is an architectural fitting for contemporary interiors that like natural materials.
The ring of this solid walnut flush ceiling light is cut from solid walnut, a timber prized for its warm tones and its grain. It forms a thick frame round the diffuser and gives the fitting a frank presence, far from standard plastic ceiling lights. At the centre, the concave opal glass diffuses the light softly: its hollow form leads the eye in and brings out the contrast with the wood. The concave curve gives depth to the luminous surface and subtly changes its look according to the angle from which you see it. On this solid walnut flush ceiling light, accents of precision metal with a gold finish underline the whole. They add a touch of brightness that warms the composition still more and ties it to other gold elements in a room, such as a tap, a mirror frame or a table leg. At 21.5 cm in diameter and 10.5 cm high, the solid walnut flush ceiling light stays compact. Under a 2.40 m ceiling it leaves 2.295 m beneath it, so it suits a low ceiling. It fits a corridor, an entrance, a bedroom, a study or a kitchen without overwhelming the ceiling. The solid timber gives the solid walnut flush ceiling light a warm, hand-finished character, and it goes with a parquet floor, oak or walnut furniture, white walls or earthy shades. Lit or unlit, it counts as a small decorative object, not only a functional source of light.
The light source of this solid walnut flush ceiling light is a high-precision LED module that is entirely integrated. There is no bulb to buy and no bulb holder to choose: the fitting is ready to work once it is connected. This all-in-one design avoids the need to find a compatible bulb and limits the number of visible parts, for a cleaner look. The stated life is about 50,000 hours, a very long period of use, with a point to know before buying: the module is not replaceable. The colour temperature of this solid walnut flush ceiling light is a warm white of 3000 K, a soft tone that flatters the walnut and the gold of the metal. The solid walnut flush ceiling light fixes to the ceiling or the wall, with an integrated electrical wiring that simplifies the fitting and keeps a tidy look. It also carries a bathroom zone rating (certified for humid zones), which allows its installation in a bathroom or on a covered outdoor space. That is reassuring for a solid timber fitting meant for a damp room. It also lists compliance with standards for North America, Australia, Europe and the Middle East. In short, this solid walnut flush ceiling light joins the warmth of a natural material with the reliability of a long-life LED source, with no particular upkeep. For the installation, always switch off the power at the consumer unit and call an electrician if necessary.
This solid walnut flush ceiling light is flexible: on the ceiling it gives an ambient light in the middle of the room; on a wall it acts as a wall light and lights a corridor, a landing or the side of a bed. The 21.5 cm size of this solid walnut flush ceiling light makes it especially suited to small volumes, where a larger fitting would become intrusive. In a bathroom it replaces a generic ceiling light with a warmer piece, while staying within its zone rating. In an entrance or on a covered terrace, the pairing of walnut and gold gives an elegant welcome. The gold finish of the solid walnut flush ceiling light echoes handles, lamp feet or frames, and the walnut goes with the timbers already in the room, without needing a perfect match of shades. To show off the solid walnut flush ceiling light, leave some space around it. Pair it with neutral tones, linen, ceramics or plants to strengthen the natural spirit of the scheme. It works alone as well as repeated at regular intervals in a corridor or a long room, for a regular rhythm of light. A soft dry cloth is enough to maintain it: avoid abrasive products on the wood and on the gold parts.
Solid walnut, concave opal glass and gold accents: this solid walnut flush ceiling light joins material and restraint in a compact format. With its integrated LED, its warm white light and its rating for humid zones, it is a versatile fitting.
