Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis modular alabaster pendant light comes with 1 to 15 heads, each in real alabaster, on a metal structure in a matt black, brass or brushed nickel finish. It suits a reading corner as well as a staircase or a double-height room. Alborra sets out the configurations and the finishes below.
The singularity of this alabaster pendant light lies in its modularity: it is made of 1 to 15 heads, so you can go from a single pendant to a real sculpture of light. Each shade is real alabaster, cut from the solid block, and gives a soft light through its veins. The heads can be lined up, grouped in a cluster, or spread over a great height to enliven a stairwell or a double-height lounge. This alabaster pendant light therefore suits very different uses: a single head over a bedside table or a console, three heads in a line over an island, a cluster in an entrance, several rows in a large volume. The structure is metal, with a choice of finishes: matt black, brass or brushed nickel. On this alabaster pendant light matt black gives the composition a graphic structure; the brass finish brings a gold warmth; brushed nickel offers a more discreet, cooler reflection. In every case the alabaster remains the central character, and the finish only accompanies it. As with any natural stone, each shade has its own veins, tone and translucency: in a pendant of several heads these differences create a living rhythm that avoids the look of a series and gives the composition an almost organic character. A multi-head alabaster pendant light can replace a traditional chandelier on its own, with a more contemporary hand and a lightness that glass or crystal do not offer, since the light is born from the stone itself.
This alabaster pendant light is offered in several configurations. The 1-head version measures Ø 15 cm with a 50 cm drop. With 2 heads you get Ø 60 cm with a 150 cm drop. The 3 heads come in a line, at L 100 cm with 150 cm, or in a cluster, at Ø 40 cm with 150 cm. Then this alabaster pendant light continues with 5 heads (Ø 35 cm, drop 200 cm), 7 heads (Ø 45 cm, 250 cm), 9 heads (Ø 50 cm, 300 cm), 11 heads (Ø 50 cm, 350 cm) and 15 heads (Ø 55 cm, 400 cm). The total height, cable included, is adjustable. The source of this alabaster pendant light is an integrated LED in a warm white of 3000 K, powered at AC 110-240V. Mind the dimmer: only the versions with a Triac dimmer can be dimmed, and the simple warm white versions cannot, so choose the version accordingly. This alabaster pendant light is installed on the ceiling with integrated wiring, and an electrician is advised. It therefore gives a real range of sizes, from a discreet pendant to a tall installation, with a light that is always warm and even. The metal finish is generally repeated on the ceiling plate and on the rods or cables, so that the whole keeps one coherent hand from the ceiling to the alabaster heads.
Choosing a modular alabaster pendant light begins with the ceiling height. Under a standard 2.40 m ceiling, favour the 1, 2 or 3 head versions of this alabaster pendant light, with drops of 50 to 150 cm; the drop of each version is listed head by head. Remember that a 150 cm drop of this alabaster pendant light must be shortened over a table, and that any pendant hung where people walk should keep its lowest point at least 2.10 m above the floor. For a tall entrance, a staircase or a double-height lounge, the 5, 7, 9, 11 or 15 head versions, with drops of 200 to 400 cm, come into their own. Three heads in a line suit an island or a long table, whereas three heads in a cluster of this alabaster pendant light sit better in a corner or a hall. Then think about the finish of your alabaster pendant light: matt black in a bold contemporary scheme, the brass finish with warm woods and textiles, brushed nickel for a plainer look. If you want to vary the light of this alabaster pendant light, check that you choose the version with the Triac dimmer. Finally, like any alabaster pendant light of this kind, it should be fitted by an electrician, who will secure the fixing and the connection. For large compositions allow more fitting time and a clear space, so that the alabaster pendant light can be admired from several points of view.
Modular, in real alabaster and offered in three metal finishes, this alabaster pendant light suits every height and every volume. Choose the number of heads that answers your room, then its finish.
