Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis Nordic wrought iron wall light has a matt finish and a plain, confident silhouette, with a twin head that throws light up and down. It measures 20 cm long and takes its place in a lounge, a bedroom or a hallway. A wrought iron wall light of real restraint, made for balanced ambient light.
The Nordic temper is recognised by its restraint, clean lines, honest materials and no flourish. This wrought iron wall light follows those rules with a body in wrought iron under a matt finish that absorbs reflections and gives the piece a soft, contemporary surface. Its tube measures 6.5 cm in diameter, a solid but measured presence on the wall. At 20 cm long and 12 cm in overall width, this wrought iron wall light stays compact and slots without trouble into a hallway, an entrance or the corner of a bedroom. Its weight of 0.7 kg makes the piece easy to handle on the ladder, and it is the figure an electrician will want before choosing a fixing. The twin head arrangement is the real signature, as one head sends light upwards and the other down, so the wall carries two beams that draw graphic shapes according to the hour and the bulb. A wrought iron wall light of this sort does not try to dominate a room, it gives the wall structure, underlines a corner or accompanies a door, and agrees with pale timber, linen and walls in white or soft grey. Fitted as a pair either side of a bed or a mirror it makes a very legible symmetry, which means ordering two, while a single piece is enough to bring a hallway wall to life. This shape without artifice suits any room where a wrought iron wall light should give a soft light rather than a beam.
Technically, this wrought iron wall light takes two E27 Edison screw (ES) bulb caps, one for each head. The bulbs are not included, which leaves you free to choose the type and the colour temperature that suit the room, a warm light for a lounge, something more neutral for a hallway. Supply is universal, from 110 to 240V, which removes any question about the circuit. The stated lit area is 10 to 15 square metres, so this wrought iron wall light suits a bedroom of average size, a home office or a room people pass through, on its own or alongside another light. It serves as the main light of a small room as readily as secondary light in a larger one. The wrought iron gives the whole a disciplined structure, and the matt finish keeps the appearance plain in every situation. For an intimate mood, fit both caps with soft bulbs; for a working room, choose something crisper. Either way a wrought iron wall light of this build offers two directions of light, so the result can be varied without changing the piece. Think finally about the ceiling height, because the more generous it is, the further the upward light will reach and the more the room will be filled with indirect light, which is comfortable on the eyes. In a room of 2.4 m that upward beam lands close, and a softer bulb is the better choice.
To get the best from a twin-head wrought iron wall light, think first about where the light will travel. The upward beam lights the ceiling and visually enlarges the room, while the downward one draws a cone on the wall, useful for underlining a picture, a console table or a bench. Set the wrought iron wall light at a height that keeps the bulb out of direct view, slightly above eye level for instance. In a hallway, repeat several pieces at regular intervals to make a rhythm and lead the eye along the passage. In a bedroom, a pair either side of the bed does more than a pair of table lamps, and frees the surfaces. With its 6.5 cm tube and 12 cm width, this wrought iron wall light disappears into a spare scheme, and the matt wrought iron draws a clean, discreet line across it. Check the area to be lit against the stated 10 to 15 square metres. A wrought iron wall light of this kind is particularly at ease in a contemporary sitting room, where its two beams complete the lights already there. To tie the scheme together, pick the tone of the finish up in a frame, a handle or a table leg, and at 0.7 kg the piece asks nothing unusual of the wall it goes on.
Plain, compact and adaptable, this Nordic wrought iron wall light dresses a wall with matt metal and a twin light, high and low. It suits rooms of 10 to 15 square metres and weighs only 0.7 kg, so it will find its place easily.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
