Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis outdoor wall light with its hooded profile dresses an elevation with a quiet light aimed at the ground. Built to stay reliable in rain and dust, the outdoor wall light lights the way without glare and comes in two outputs, 18 W or 30 W. Discreet, and effortless to live with.
Choosing an outdoor wall light is really deciding how the house presents itself after dark. The hooded format plays the discreet card: the curved body sits close against the wall and throws the light downwards, exactly where it is wanted. That downward beam keeps glare out of the eyes and draws a clean pool across the front door, the steps or the paving. A good outdoor wall light does not try to light the whole garden; it marks a threshold, makes the arrival easier and carries on the material of the wall. Its architectural profile sits well with render, brick and contemporary cladding, because the line stays spare and the volumes compact. On a plain wall this outdoor wall light adds no ornament at all, which suits a terraced house as readily as a larger property. Two sizes are offered: the compact version at 20 cm wide, 10 cm high and 12 cm deep, and the larger version at 30 cm wide, 12 cm high and 14 cm deep. On a short return of wall or around a door surround, the compact outdoor wall light is the one to take; on a broader elevation the larger size holds its own. Both are connected by fixed wiring, for a permanent installation.
What really separates one outdoor wall light from another is how it survives the weather. The architectural shell here is made of thickened aluminium alloy, a robust material whose matt finish keeps the silhouette quiet and contemporary. The IP65 rating means a housing fully sealed against rain and dust, which allows a fully exposed position rather than a sheltered one, and it is the number your electrician will check first. For light, a high-output integrated LED module replaces any bulb, at either 18 W or 30 W depending on the version chosen. This outdoor wall light therefore carries its own source: nothing to select, no cap to clean, and very little maintenance for a fitting mounted out of easy reach. Colour rendering at CRI 80 brings out the texture of external walls, whether render, stone or timber. Colour temperature is yours to choose: warm white at 3000 K for a welcoming arrival, or a natural or cool tone for a crisper light. The outdoor wall light runs at 110 V to 220 V and carries European CE certification. It is not dimmable and works from a standard wall switch, which keeps the wiring simple. Confirm the fixings for your substrate before anything is drilled, since an exposed elevation gives a fitting no help at all.
Before mounting your outdoor wall light, think about exactly where the light should land. Because the beam points down, put it above the area to be lit, at the top of a door surround or over external steps. For an ordinary entrance or a small wall, the compact 18 W version is enough to make a clean marker. For a long elevation or a terrace, the larger 30 W version lays down a wider wash. Between the two, the right outdoor wall light is the one matched to the area being lit and to the viewing distance: a wall seen from the road asks for more output than a doorstep within arm’s reach. The connection is to a fixed supply, so always isolate at the consumer unit before working, and hand the installation to an electrician if there is any doubt. On colour, warm white at 3000 K remains the most welcoming choice for a domestic threshold, while natural and cool tones suit pale walls and very contemporary schemes. Since this outdoor wall light does not dim, output and colour temperature are what set the mood. If you are fitting several along one elevation, repeat the same version at regular intervals and keep one colour temperature throughout. Mounted either side of a front door, an outdoor wall light of this profile gives the entrance a quiet symmetry, and that arrangement takes two units; above a low porch, check that the hood clears the head of anyone passing underneath before the position is fixed.
Sealed, compact and aimed at the ground, this outdoor wall light turns an elevation into a measured welcome. Choose the output and the colour temperature that suit your entrance, and let the evenings outside look after themselves.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
