Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis terrazzo wall light turns a mineral block into a source of light. Its translucent chips, its grey tone with warm reflections and its integrated LED module give it a spare, architectural bearing. A terrazzo wall light offered as a square or a rectangle, for a wall or a ceiling.
Terrazzo is a material with character, chips of stone held in a mineral mass, making a living pattern that is never quite the same twice. This terrazzo wall light takes up that tradition with a body in real terrazzo whose mineral chips are translucent. Lit, the block lets the light be guessed at through the material; unlit, it reads as a sculptural object, plain and dense. The mineral tone is a grey with warm reflections, which agrees with pale walls, smooth concrete, timber or render. It is a solid block, carried by an internal frame of precision metal, and the whole makes an architectural terrazzo wall light, crisp and very compact. That mineral presence suits contemporary interiors, where honest materials and simple volumes are welcome. It goes in an entrance, a hallway, a lounge or a bedroom, wherever a soft light should reveal the wall rather than face the room. The finish of the stone is the only decoration, since no ornament draws attention away, and a terrazzo wall light of this kind lets the material speak for itself. In a dining room, two pieces either side of a console or a sideboard frame the furniture elegantly, and that pairing means two units, while a single terrazzo wall light is enough to give a bare wall structure. The grey with warm reflections avoids the austerity of a colder stone.
The source is a high-precision LED module fully integrated into the block. Its working life is of the order of 50,000 hours and it is not replaceable, a design decision that frees the terrazzo wall light of any cap and any bulb in favour of a form that is perfectly solid. The colour temperature is 3000K, a warm white that warms the stone and makes a welcoming atmosphere. The terrazzo wall light is compatible with a dimmer, not included, which takes it from a light for passing through to a very low ambient level. The wiring is integrated and installation is on a wall or on a ceiling, according to the room. A terrazzo wall light therefore limits the technical choices to the essentials, since the colour temperature is fixed at 3000K, the level is set by the dimmer, and the only decision left is wall or ceiling. It is enough to plan the position of the wiring before fixing the block, which is the one point to settle with an electrician. Compliance covers North American, Australian, European and Middle Eastern standards. This all-in-one approach keeps the terrazzo wall light simple to use, with no bulb to choose and no wattage to check, only an even light and a mineral material that holds the eye.
Two formats are offered. The square model measures 12 cm wide by 12 cm high and makes a crisp point of light that repeats well in a run or a pair. The rectangular model measures 8 cm wide by 16 cm high, and its vertical silhouette lengthens the wall and suits narrow spaces such as a hallway or the surround of a mirror. In both cases a terrazzo wall light stands alone for a sculptural result or in a group for a more graphic rhythm. Mounted on a ceiling it becomes a small mineral ceiling light, useful in an entrance or a corridor, and at 12 or 16 cm neither format troubles the ceiling line of an ordinary room. Pair it with contrasting materials, a brushed metal, a dark timber or a heavy textile, to strengthen the presence of the terrazzo. Finally, make use of the dimmer to set the level, since at a low light the translucent chips become more visible and a terrazzo wall light reveals the whole of its texture as the evening goes on. If you hesitate, remember that the square is the more adaptable for a single point of light, while the rectangle works better in a column. Either way a terrazzo wall light goes up with no cap and no bulb to choose, since the LED is sealed into the block and is not replaceable.
Mineral chips, warm light and an integrated LED module: this terrazzo wall light gathers mineral elegance into a compact block. Choose the square or the rectangle and give a wall a light that is plain and particular at once.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
