Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis gold wall light with its globe brings an enveloping light to the wall, with no harsh brightness. The curved arm and the frosted glass give the gold wall light a contemporary bearing, sculptural and discreet at once. The right fitting for a considered point of light rather than several sources in one room.
Choosing a gold wall light with a globe is first of all choosing an atmosphere. The frosted glass, 20 cm in diameter, softens the source and turns it into a milky sphere that is as pleasant to look at as to live with. Light leaves both upwards and downwards, which draws a gentle halo on the surface and carries on the material of the wall instead of hardening it. In a lounge, this gold wall light does better than a lamp standing on a surface: it frees the furniture, clears the tables and sets up a warm secondary light, right for reading or a long conversation. In a bedroom, a gold wall light of this kind goes either side of a headboard for a calm atmosphere with no glare, and that arrangement takes two. In a hallway or an entrance it marks the passage with an elegant lit presence that welcomes without overwhelming. The quoted lit area of 5 to 10 square metres makes it an ambient fitting properly sized for those spaces, and the specification also suggests the dining room and the bathroom. Set the gold wall light at eye level or a little above so the halo can develop freely on the wall.
This gold wall light puts a body of gold-plated aluminium with a globe of frosted glass, two materials whose contrast gives it its character. The metal brings a warm gold finish, the glass a veiled translucency that keeps the source out of direct view. On dimensions, the gold wall light stands 36 cm in overall height, with a 20 cm globe on a 10 cm base. Its approximate depth of 15 cm, measured from the wall to the edge of the globe, gives it a definite but measured presence in a hallway, and it is the figure to check if the corridor is narrow. It works with a G9 LED bulb, already included, so there is nothing further to buy before it goes up. The accepted supply of 90 to 260 V AC covers a wide range. The output is fixed: this gold wall light is not dimmable, and the light stays constant as the supplied bulb sets it, which means no dimmer module for the electrician to specify. The gold wall light is designed for indoor wall mounting, wired directly to the mains. Confirm the fixing where the wall is dry-lined rather than solid.
To get the most from this gold wall light, treat it as an element of atmosphere rather than a main light. Because its output is fixed, pairing it with an adjustable secondary source, a table lamp for instance, lets you change the level through the evening. In an entrance, a gold wall light sets the tone from the moment the door opens: the halo on the wall makes a muted welcome and shows off a mirror, a console or a frame beside it. In a bedroom, fit one either side of the bed at the same height for a restful symmetry, which is the usual reason for ordering two rather than one. In a lounge, put the gold wall light near an armchair or above a low cabinet, where the soft light of the globe takes the place of a ceiling light. The gold finish talks naturally to timber, stone, linen and sand tones, and a gold wall light of this kind sits as easily in a spare room as in a warm one. Against a clear glass fitting, this opal globe gives a more comfortable light, since the source is never directly in view. Simply leave enough clearance around the globe for the top and bottom of the halo to read on the wall; under a 2.4 m ceiling, keep about 40 cm above it. A gold wall light that nearly touches a cornice loses the upward half of its light, which is half of what the shape is for. In a narrow hallway, remember the 15 cm projection and keep the gold wall light off the line people walk.
Elegant, easy to live with and made for everyday rooms, this gold wall light brings a soft light and a contemporary character indoors. Its G9 LED bulb is included: all that remains is choosing the wall.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.

Can I install a light in a bathroom?
keyboard_arrow_downSome models. The ‘bathroom zone rating’ entry appears on the relevant product pages — without it, keep the light for dry rooms.
