Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis travertine wall light brings together a curved blade of stone, an opal globe and a solid wood base in a very compact format: 9 cm wide by 25 cm high. Three natural materials, one soft light. The travertine wall light is for anyone who wants a sculptural presence without crowding the wall.
A travertine wall light rarely takes a form as gentle as this. The stone is worked into a curved blade, a ribbon of real travertine, honed and textured, which leans to receive the light. Set against that curve, a globe of white opal glass gives a velvety halo whose roundness answers the roundness of the stone. The whole rests on a base of solid wood, in a walnut or a natural timber finish, which brings warmth and makes the link between the wall and the fitting. That trio of materials gives the travertine wall light an unusual presence: the stone for texture, the timber for warmth, the glass for the softness of the light. Small at 9 cm wide by 25 cm high, it finds a place where larger fittings will not go: beside a bed, above a chest of drawers, in an entrance or next to a mirror, and under a 2.4 m ceiling it causes no difficulty at all. This travertine wall light fixes to a wall or to a ceiling with integrated wiring. It suits rooms built on natural materials, contemporary, Scandinavian or Mediterranean alike. A travertine wall light of this size works as a small decorative object, noticed even when it is switched off, and the stone keeps its own gradations, so no piece is quite like the next.
This travertine wall light measures 9 cm wide by 25 cm in overall height. Its architectural body is a curved blade of real travertine, honed and textured. The mounting base is solid wood, in a walnut or natural timber finish, and the diffuser is a globe of premium opal glass in white. The choice of base shifts the tone of the whole slightly, which is worth weighing against the floor and the joinery already in the room. The source of this travertine wall light is a single G9 capsule lampholder: the recommended output is 7 W maximum, with an incandescent bulb or an LED equivalent, not included. That leaves the tone and the level to suit your room. The travertine wall light is dimmer compatible, the dimmer not included, for a softer light in the evening. It installs on a wall or a ceiling with integrated wiring, which gives it more than one use. Its damp-location certification makes it suitable for bathrooms and covered outdoor spaces, and its conformity covers North American, Australian, European and Middle Eastern standards. At 25 cm the piece asks little of a wall, though stone and timber together are never featherlight, so a sound fixing still matters, and it costs nothing extra to get right at first fix.
To receive a travertine wall light of this size well, work with the materials around it. The timber of the base goes with oak, walnut or ash furniture, and the stone agrees with linen, bouclé wool and matt ceramic rather than with anything glossy. In a bedroom, a pair either side of the bed gives a soft symmetry, which means ordering two; with a dimmer it becomes the light for the end of the day. In a bathroom, this travertine wall light, certified for damp locations, sits beside a mirror, where the opal light flatters a face rather than hardening it. In an entrance, one travertine wall light is enough to sign the welcome, especially above a console, and a single cable run is all it needs. Against a fitting in metal or plastic, a travertine wall light offers a material you can actually feel: the stone to the hand, the timber to the eye, the glass somewhere between. Choose a bulb of 7 W maximum in a soft tone, so the white globe keeps its milky clarity. And remember that travertine is a natural stone, so its texture varies from one fitting to the next, which is what makes a pair worth looking at rather than merely matched. If you intend to use a dimmer, choose a bulb that dims cleanly and mention the travertine wall light to your electrician before the switch is specified, since the dimmer is not supplied with the fitting.
Small, sculptural and dimmer compatible, this travertine wall light puts stone, solid wood and opal glass together for a soft light. It will find its place, from a bedroom wall to a bathroom one.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
