Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis architectural travertine wall light draws a sculptural curve in real travertine set on a support of solid walnut. Compact at 19 cm wide and 16 cm high, it fixes to the wall or the ceiling. It was made for contemporary interiors that like soft lines and authentic materials.
An architectural travertine wall light is distinguished by the way it sculpts the light. Here the face is cut from real travertine, in a textured, honed finish whose curve draws a soft volume that follows the wall. The wall support is solid walnut: it frames the stone and gives it a warm footing. A travertine wall light of this size stays easy to place, because its gentle curve softens the angles and suits a flat wall as readily as a recess. At 19 cm wide by 16 cm high, the fitting stays compact and goes into many spaces: an entrance, a hallway, a bedroom, a living room or a bathroom. It also projects little, which is what keeps a narrow landing clear under a 2.4 m ceiling. The electrical wiring is integrated, which allows a clean fixing with no cable in sight. This travertine wall light can be used as a wall fitting or as a ceiling light, which widens its uses: it can go on a surface, but also on the ceiling of a small space. The curve of the face catches shadow and light differently according to the viewing angle, which strengthens the sculptural character of the object. A travertine wall light with a curve this marked therefore animates a surface even when it is off, through the relief and the natural material of its face. In a minimal scheme it offers a discreet but definite point of interest. In a richer one, a travertine wall light of this kind continues the register of honest materials without competing with them.
Technically, this travertine wall light carries two G9 capsule holders. It takes up to two bulbs of 10 W, incandescent or LED, not included. That double source spreads the light across the curved face and reveals its texture. Dimming is possible, provided you use an external dimmer and bulbs that are themselves dimmable: the detail matters for a smooth result. This travertine wall light therefore asks only that the right dimmer be paired with the right bulbs, a simple precaution that gives a soft and even result, and one to settle with your electrician rather than afterwards. The product is rated for damp locations, which suits it to bathrooms and covered outdoor spaces. Its overall compliance covers the NA, Aus, Eur and Middle East standards. This travertine wall light therefore joins the look of a real stone to precise qualities in use: a compact format, two holders, wall or ceiling fixing, a damp rating. The solid walnut support gives the whole its visual stability and balances the mineral quality of the face. The object stays light to the eye, despite the presence of the stone, thanks to its small dimensions and its curved lines.
Think about the bulbs and the dimming. With two G9 holders, you can choose two warm-light LEDs that will bring out the stone and the walnut of the support. If you fit a dimmer, use dimmable bulbs, as the specification states, and keep to the 10 W per bulb limit, which is there to protect the stone as much as the holder. A travertine wall light with a double source gives a wider light than a single-bulb model, which is welcome on a wall of middling size. In a bathroom, the damp rating lets you put this travertine wall light near the mirror; in a covered entrance, it welcomes with a soft light. In a hallway, several in a line create a graphic rhythm that a single ceiling light never achieves, and each one still lights the stretch of floor beneath it. On the ceiling, the overhead version suits small rooms wanting a discreet mineral source, a dressing room or a shower room among them. Against a flat metal fitting, this travertine wall light brings a living material and a curve that plays with light rather than simply reflecting it back. Keep in mind that the stone is natural: its textured look is exactly its charm, and no two faces are cut quite alike. Pair it with rendered walls, linen or pale timber to keep a coherent palette, and if you are fitting two, order them together so the travertine reads as a set.
This travertine wall light brings real stone, solid walnut and two G9 holders together in a 19 cm format. Choose it to give your wall or your ceiling a soft and sculptural light, at Alborra.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
