Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis cubic outdoor wall light guards an entrance with a projecting, spare volume. Sealed to IP65, the outdoor wall light sets an aluminium shell against a panoramic acrylic diffuser. It lights the threshold of the house with a clean light, warm or cool as you prefer.
An outdoor wall light has to survive the weather before it pleases anyone, and this one makes that its first concern. Its IP65 protection makes the outdoor wall light fully sealed against rain and dust, so it can stay on an elevation, a gate pier or a terrace wall through a wet winter. The architectural shell is made of thickened aluminium alloy in a matt black finish, a restrained material that goes with contemporary joinery and ironwork. The format is that of a front lantern with a projecting volume: about 16 cm high, 16 cm wide and 15 cm deep. Those estimated dimensions give the outdoor wall light a clear presence without masking the wall behind it. Mounted at door height, the outdoor wall light leads visitors to the threshold. Set either side of a gate, two units make a considered and reassuring entrance. On a terrace or beside a garage, it gives a functional and discreet light. By drawing a clean cube against the wall, this outdoor wall light belongs to the minimalist architectural register found in new houses and careful renovations alike, with no attempt to imitate an older fitting. Its cubic writing agrees with render, cladding and stone, and it reads from a distance as well as close to.
The diffuser of this outdoor wall light is a panoramic acrylic block that distributes light in three dimensions, to cover a wide angle and avoid dark patches on the wall. The source is a high-output integrated 16 W LED module, so there is no bulb to replace. Colour rendering at CRI 80 keeps the tones of your elevation, your planting and your materials honest. The colour temperature of this outdoor wall light is a choice: warm white at 3000 K, natural white or cool white, which lets the light be matched to the atmosphere you want. Installation is by fixed wiring on a supply of 110 to 220 V with CE certification, so the cable has to arrive at the right point before the fitting goes up, and marking that point on the wall first saves making good a render face afterwards. This outdoor wall light is not dimmable: it works from a standard wall switch, with no dimmer module for the electrician to specify and nothing extra to source. Between the aluminium shell, the IP65 protection and the integrated source, the whole makes a complete exterior fitting designed to work simply. On an outdoor wall light of this kind, confirm the fixings for your substrate, and check the surface is flat enough for the backplate to sit true. The integrated module keeps the assembly compact, with nothing to dismantle and a light that stays constant.
The colour temperature changes the whole look of an elevation. Warm white at 3000 K makes render, timber and stone more welcoming, and suits a domestic entrance. Natural white gives a more neutral light, right for a functional passage or a garage. Cool white sharpens the graphic character of a modern frontage, though it can read harder. Whichever you choose, CRI 80 respects the colours and avoids dulling the walls. For a good result, mount the outdoor wall light at a height that keeps it out of the eyeline of anyone approaching, and repeat it symmetrically either side of a door. Since it does not dim, specify a suitable switch. The 16 W output gives a solid brightness: one outdoor wall light is often enough for a porch, while two light a terrace comfortably. Take the time to picture the position before fixing. In a courtyard or a narrow passage, a warmer tone avoids the atmosphere of a car park, while natural white suits a utility area. Remember too that the fitting runs on 110 to 220 V, so confirm compatibility with your supply before ordering. One last thought on mounting height: at about 16 cm square, an outdoor wall light of this format sits well at door-head level, where its projecting volume clears anyone walking underneath and the panoramic diffuser still washes the ground. Under a low porch, measure the headroom before fixing, because a cube that projects 15 cm is one you will notice if it sits too low.
Sealed to IP65, in thick aluminium and with an integrated 16 W LED, this outdoor wall light protects and improves an elevation. Choose it at Alborra for a durable and restrained light.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
