Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis ceramic wall light takes a floral form, a corolla of shaped ceramic with an opaque sphere at its centre. The matt, organic surface belongs to the wabi-sabi way of making, where the hand is allowed to show. A ceramic wall light of 25 cm in diameter, minimal in outline and warm in the light it gives.
This ceramic wall light reads as a stylised flower rather than a geometric shape, and that is what carries it. At 25 cm in diameter it takes a firm place on a wall without overwhelming it, and it stands on its own as a decorative object without needing a picture or a mirror beside it. A ceramic wall light of that diameter is read as a shape first and a light second. The surface is shaped ceramic with a matt, organic texture, so the light catches the irregularities and the fitting looks made rather than pressed. Four finishes are offered, and each changes the room: white lifts a pale scheme, green brings something of the garden indoors, copper brown warms a neutral wall, and black draws a graphic contrast. The opaque sphere at the centre is what keeps the ceramic wall light comfortable to sit beside, since it hides the source entirely and gives back a milky, warm light instead of a bright point. This restrained line suits a plain lounge, a calm bedroom or a corridor that deserves better than a single ceiling fitting, and a ceramic wall light of this kind belongs in the room as decoration as much as lighting. Fitted as a pair either side of a bed it gives the symmetry British rooms tend to ask for; left on its own it becomes the focal point of a bare wall.
This ceramic wall light carries a high-performance integrated LED, which removes any need to choose a lamp: there is no cap to check, no wattage to respect and nothing to buy alongside the fitting. That also means the colour temperature is settled, so plan the position knowing the light will stay as it is. The supply is universal, 110 V to 240 V alternating current, which covers a British circuit without adaptation and makes the ceramic wall light straightforward for an electrician to connect. Installation is on the wall with fixed wiring, a permanent connection rather than a plug, which is a decision to take at the planning stage: have the cable brought out exactly where the corolla will sit, because moving it afterwards means making good a wall. A ceramic wall light with fixed wiring is a commitment, which is an argument for marking the position out in pencil and living with it for a day. The 25 cm diameter of this ceramic wall light, the shaped ceramic, the opaque sphere and the integrated LED make a coherent specification that relies on the material rather than on a long list of functions. No weight is published; ceramic of this size is not trivial, so use fixings suited to the substrate and spread the load on plasterboard rather than trusting a single screw. Fired ceramic does not forgive a fitting that shifts. In a room with a 2.4 m ceiling the ceramic wall light projects very little and nothing hangs below it, so headroom is never in question.
On a bare wall, a single ceramic wall light in white, green, copper brown or black becomes the one thing worth looking at, and the finish should be chosen against the wall colour rather than the furniture. In a corridor a ceramic wall light gives the wall a rhythm, and the 25 cm diameter keeps it legible from the far end, which a smaller fitting would not manage. Scale is what makes a corridor fitting work at all. Set the height of the ceramic wall light by eye level or a little above, so the corolla is read as a shape rather than looked into. Because the connection is fixed and the LED is integrated, there is nothing to maintain beyond an occasional dry cloth over the ceramic. That is one of the quiet advantages of a ceramic wall light over a fitting with a lamp behind glass. If you want a dimmer in the room, plan a separate source for it: this ceramic wall light gives one steady, warm light and does it well.
Shaped ceramic, a 25 cm corolla, an opaque sphere and an integrated LED: this ceramic wall light offers a quiet, warm light and a genuine material in four finishes. Choose the finish for the wall it will sit on, and have the cable brought out where the flower belongs. A pair reads as considered, where a single one reads as chosen.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.

Can I install a light in a bathroom?
keyboard_arrow_downSome models. The ‘bathroom zone rating’ entry appears on the relevant product pages — without it, keep the light for dry rooms.
