Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis asymmetric table lamp sets a globe of premium opal glass on a solid rectangular metal base, in an off-balance composition that is deliberate and calm. It measures 26 cm wide and 24 cm high, and is offered in deep black, chrome or white. It suits a console, a desk or a side table.
On a console, a desk or a side table, the outline of this asymmetric table lamp, 26 cm wide and 24 cm high, takes little room while giving structure to the space around it. The base is a precision metal with a massive rectangular profile, and the globe of premium opal glass rests off its centre, which gives the lamp its asymmetry. The balance is not accidental: a heavy, square base carries a round, light globe, and the two shapes answer one another. The range of colours for the asymmetric table lamp offers deep black, sparkling chrome and pure white. The black is a graphic accent on a pale console; the chrome reflects the room and the glass; the white blends into a bright interior and lets the globe take the attention. An asymmetric table lamp of this kind is a good choice for those who like an unusual outline in a restrained palette. It does not shout, but it holds the eye. The opal glass globe hides the bulb and gives a soft, milky light, so the lamp is as gentle on the eye as it is striking to look at. This kind of asymmetric table lamp works as an object first, and as a light second, which suits a room with few ornaments. The asymmetric table lamp gives a room one clear shape to look at, which suits a console that carries little else. Its globe is opal glass, so the shape is clear and the light is soft.
For the electrician and for the buyer, the facts are plain. This asymmetric table lamp measures 26 cm wide by 24 cm high and is for indoor use only. The bulb cap is a standard G9 capsule, with a single cap, and it takes a bulb of 10 W at most, either incandescent or an LED equivalent; the bulb is not included. The asymmetric table lamp is compatible with a dimmer, which is not included either, so that the lighting can be adjusted from a clear reading light to an ambient glow; check that the bulb you choose is dimmable. The cable is 150 cm long, with a push-button switch, and the lamp plugs into a socket. The base of the asymmetric table lamp is made of precision metal in a solid rectangular profile, and the globe is premium opal glass. A compact G9 capsule suits the small volume of the globe, which is why the lamp can stay so neat. The metal base is heavy for its size, so the asymmetric table lamp stays put on the table. It deserves a flat, firm surface. Because the globe sits off-centre, an asymmetric table lamp should stand with its base fully on the surface, not overhanging an edge. With a modest 10 W limit, it is an accent light and not a main source, and it works best beside another light in the room.
On a console, a desk or a side table, an asymmetric table lamp of 26 cm by 24 cm is easy to place and gives the space around it a point of focus. Because it can be moved from room to room with its cable of 150 cm, it adjusts easily to a change of season or a change of layout: plug it in wherever there is a socket. Beside a sofa, the asymmetric table lamp offers a gentle supplementary glow. On a bedside table, the low outline is comfortable beside a bed and does not rise above the headboard. On a desk, the opal glass globe softens the contrast with a screen, and the dimmer lets you lower the light at the end of the day. Choose the finish to suit the room: black for a graphic accent, chrome for reflection, white for a quiet note. If you use a pair of asymmetric table lamps, place the two with their bases facing the same way, so the asymmetry repeats as a rhythm. Under a ceiling of 2.40 m, a lamp of 24 cm remains well below any fitting above it. Wipe the glass with a soft dry cloth, and keep the chrome free of fingerprints. An asymmetric table lamp suits a hallway console, a landing shelf or a bedside, anywhere a small, striking shape is welcome.
Opal glass, a solid metal base and a dimmable G9 light: this asymmetric table lamp offers an unusual outline in a restrained form. Add it to your Alborra selection and choose the finish that suits your room.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
