Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis asymmetric alabaster wall light takes the form of a vertical tube of Spanish alabaster fixed to a base of solid gold brass. Its spare drawing keeps only the essentials, a stone, a metal and a light. An alabaster wall light for indoor use, playing on offset rather than symmetry.
The cylindrical diffuser is Spanish alabaster, a natural stone whose translucency softens the source. Its tube measures 5 cm in diameter by 40 cm high in the standard model, and 60 cm in the large one. This alabaster wall light fixes to a solid brass wall base in gold, which anchors the piece and contrasts with the stone. The offset position is the signature of this light, which gives up the usual symmetry on purpose. In a lounge, an alabaster wall light of this drawing can answer a picture or a bookcase without competing with it. The restraint rests on the purity of the form, a cylinder and a base, with no added ornament. What you see is a column of light set against the wall, which comes on like a candle of stone. A gold alabaster wall light of this sort makes something of a bare wall, because it gives it a point of interest without loading it. The large model, reaching 60 cm, goes well with a generous ceiling height, while the standard one slips into more intimate spaces, and in a room of 2.4 m the 40 cm version is the one that leaves the proportions intact. In either case an alabaster wall light reads as an elegant vertical line. Stone and brass answer each other in a plain conversation, where nothing is superfluous and nothing is missing.
This alabaster wall light carries an integrated LED source, 10W on the 40 cm model and 15W on the 60 cm one. The colour temperature is chosen from three levels, warm at 3000K, neutral at 4000K and cool at 6000K. The 3000K carries the mood of a lounge or a bedroom on, the 4000K gives a more neutral rendering and the 6000K a sharper light. This alabaster wall light is not dimmable, its level stays fixed and the light is therefore controlled simply by switching. Supply accepts 110 to 240V alternating current, with fixed wiring, and the piece carries CE and CCC standards. Its use is strictly indoor, with an IP20 rating, which rules out rooms exposed to water. For an indoor alabaster wall light, that rating is enough for a lounge, a bedroom or a hallway. The two heights answer two uses, one discreet and the other more striking. Whichever size is chosen, the alabaster wall light keeps a tube diameter of 5 cm, which guarantees a slender silhouette. The solid brass of the wall base takes a gold finish that warms the whole and gives it a precious air. The stone brings the natural character, the LED the precision, and fixed wiring is what an electrician will want to plan around.
To make use of the asymmetry, set your alabaster wall light slightly away from the centre of a wall, beside a cabinet or a door. Avoid lining it up too strictly on a central axis, because its interest lies precisely in the offset. A pale, plain wall sets off the gold base, while a dark wall brings out the brightness of the lit stone. An alabaster wall light of 60 cm finds its place very well in an entrance with a generous ceiling height. For a lounge, choose 3000K to stay in a warm light, and keep 4000K or 6000K for circulation spaces where more clarity is wanted. Since the piece is not dimmable, an alabaster wall light gains from being joined by a quieter second source if you want to vary the mood. Think finally of the strictly indoor use and of the fixed wiring, which asks for a supply run to the chosen position. Well fitted, this Spanish alabaster wall light becomes the discreet detail that gives a whole room its character. Its height of 40 cm makes it workable on almost any wall, while the 60 cm version asks for more air and gives more in return. Restraint is never cold when it rests on a natural stone, and one alabaster wall light is often enough to change the look of a whole wall.
With its tube of Spanish alabaster, its base of solid gold brass and its offset position, this alabaster wall light carries a warm restraint. Choose the height and the colour temperature that suit your interior, and give a wall a light that is noticed without ever imposing.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
