Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis architectural travertine wall light, 22 cm across, sets a beige stone body with a naturally textured surface against a solid wood fascia. The integrated LED of the travertine wall light throws light both up and down, so a halo opens above and below it. The warmth of real stone, indoors.
Travertine convinces through its substance: a beige stone, honed and textured, whose surface carries markings particular to each piece. Making it the body of a travertine wall light puts a mineral presence on the wall, restrained and warm, a long way from a standardised fitting. The architectural format of this travertine wall light, 22 cm wide by 16 cm tall, gives a frank, compact silhouette that suits an entrance, a bedroom or a hallway, and at 16 cm high it causes no difficulty under a 2.4 m ceiling. The up-and-down principle is its signature: light rises towards the ceiling and falls towards the floor at the same time, drawing two lit arcs either side of the body. That indirect light brings out the relief of the wall and the texture of the stone itself. A travertine wall light of this kind therefore reads as a lit sculpture, and it is most at ease on plain plaster, pale paint or a raw material. The wiring is integrated, which allows a direct connection, neatly concealed at the wall. The result is a piece that stays quiet in daylight and comes into its own at dusk: a decorative night light in a bedroom, a marker along a hallway with no light in the eyes.
What sets this travertine wall light apart is the meeting of two natural materials. The beige travertine stone body is completed by a solid wood band across the face, available in walnut, black or beige. The contrast between stone and timber gives the travertine wall light depth and lets you tune it to the room: walnut warms it, black draws a graphic outline, beige merges with the stone for a single tone. For light, the travertine wall light carries high-output integrated LED technology with a life of around 50,000 hours, which puts bulb changes out of mind for years. The colour temperature is warm white at 3000 K, the tone most consistent with stone and timber, and the one that gives walls an enveloping atmosphere. This travertine wall light also carries a damp-location certification, so it suits bathrooms and covered spaces, and it meets North American, Australian, European and Middle Eastern standards. A stone body is never light, so agree the fixing with your electrician: on a dry-lined wall that means a noggin or a proper cavity anchor rather than plasterboard alone, and it is far easier agreed before the plastering than after.
The band across the face decides the character of your travertine wall light. Walnut goes with wooden floors, warm timber furniture and earth tones, and suits a living room or a bedroom after something welcoming rather than stark. Black brings a graphic edge to the travertine wall light and pairs with dark joinery, metal handles or a contemporary bathroom lined in pale tiles, where the outline reads cleanly against the grout lines. Beige is the quietest choice, carrying the colour of the stone across the whole piece for a single tone, which works well in a hallway or an entrance where the fitting should not announce itself. On position, the damp rating allows a travertine wall light near a basin or a shower, provided the wiring rules for the room are respected, or in a covered space such as a sheltered porch. Mount it at a height that leaves room for both the upward and the downward beam, since a ceiling or a cabinet too close will cut the halo short; in a room with a 2.4 m ceiling, keep a clear 50 cm above it where you can. Isolate the circuit before connecting and bring in an electrician if there is any doubt. A dry cloth is enough thereafter, and the stone of a travertine wall light rewards being seen at close range rather than mounted high. Fitted as a pair either side of a basin or a bed, two units give the balanced light a single piece cannot.
Natural stone, solid wood and a wash of warm light: this travertine wall light has everything that makes a wall feel alive, with an integrated 3000 K LED rated at around 50,000 hours and a damp-location certification behind it. Choose the finish that carries on your room, in walnut, black or beige, and add it to your basket.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.
