Description
keyboard_arrow_downThis arched outdoor wall light dresses a façade with an indirect beam that grazes the wall rather than shining out of it. Its thickened aluminium alloy body, in a matt black finish, carries an IP65 rating. An integrated 18 W LED module does the lighting, in warm, natural or cool white as you choose, and the whole outdoor wall light is compact enough to disappear into the architecture.
A clean curve, simple lines and a volume of 27 cm wide, 10 cm high and 6 cm deep: that is the whole of this outdoor wall light, and it is why it sits so easily on a contemporary elevation. The indirect beam is the point of it. Light slides across the wall, bringing out the texture of render, cladding or stone, and because nothing is aimed outward there is no glare for anyone walking past, which matters more on a narrow path than most specifications admit. Fitted beside a door, a garage, an external stair or a terrace, this outdoor wall light marks a threshold without taking it over, and the diffused result stays comfortable late in the evening. At only 6 cm deep it is the shallowest kind of outdoor wall light to live with, so a gate or a door that swings close to the wall is not a problem, and a pair either side of an opening reads as deliberate rather than decorative. Six centimetres is shallow enough that nobody notices the fitting until it is dark. Repeated along a boundary wall at even centres, the same fitting draws a quiet line of light at low level.
This outdoor wall light is rated IP65, described as fully sealed against rain and dust, which is what qualifies it for external use rather than a sheltered porch alone, and it is the rating British buyers search for by name. An outdoor wall light without a published rating is a guess, and an exposed wall is the wrong place to guess. The source is a high-performance integrated 18 W LED module, part of the fitting, so there is no lamp to buy and nothing to change at the top of a ladder in winter. That is a real argument for an integrated outdoor wall light on a first-floor wall. Colour rendering of CRI 80 keeps the colours of the façade honest: warm white at 3000 K, natural or cool white, according to what the wall is made of. This outdoor wall light is not dimmable and is controlled by a standard wall switch, so decide the output at the start rather than planning to adjust it later. On supply, AC 110 V to 220 V and the European CE mark complete the specification. Thickened aluminium, IP65, 18 W and CRI 80 make a short and coherent list, and no part of it depends on a seal you have to maintain. A fitting that cannot be opened is also one nobody can leave open by mistake. No weight is published; aluminium at this size is light, but an outdoor wall light still wants fixings rated for an external wall and a cable gland made off properly.
Think first about the surface you want to reveal, because an indirect outdoor wall light is really lighting the wall rather than the garden. An outdoor wall light of this kind rewards a textured surface and does very little for a flat one. Warm white at 3000 K suits timber, sand-coloured render and brick; natural white suits pale concrete; cool white suits metal and glass. Set the mounting height so the arc of light falls where you want it, usually lower than instinct suggests, since the beam opens as it travels. Try the position with a torch before the outdoor wall light is fixed, which takes a minute and saves an afternoon. Render and stone both reward a lower mounting than instinct suggests. Because the fitting is not dimmable, confirm before fitting that 18 W and an indirect beam will do the job you have in mind, then have it connected with fixed wiring to the regulations in force. Keep the lens clear of leaves and cobwebs, which is the only maintenance an outdoor wall light of this kind asks for. Nothing about it needs opening, and nothing inside it needs replacing.
Sealed to IP65, compact, indirect and plain, this arched outdoor wall light shows a façade at its best with light that never points at anyone. Choose the colour temperature for the material of the wall, and set the height for the sweep you want. One fitting lights one bay of a wall, so plan one for each.

Light decides whether a room makes you want to stay. Each light is chosen for its material and for what it does with it.
A hallway, a bedhead or a table each call for a different light. Our collections are organised by use.
The market is full of painted resin that imitates marble. Our travertines and alabasters are cut from stone: no two pieces are identical.
Exact dimensions, material, bulb cap type, what is included: everything is on the product page. You know what you are installing.

Will my stone light be identical to the photo?
keyboard_arrow_downNo, and that is deliberate: travertine and alabaster are real stones, and the veining differs from one piece to the next. The shape and dimensions, however, are as specified.
Can I install a light in a bathroom?
keyboard_arrow_downSome models. The ‘bathroom zone rating’ entry appears on the relevant product pages — without it, keep the light for dry rooms.
