It mounts flush to the ceiling or on a wall and directs a warm white LED light exactly where you want it. It is a flexible fitting that adapts to the length of your walls.

A solid wood flush ceiling light with a track of adjustable spots

This solid wood flush ceiling light rests on a clear principle: a track in real solid wood along which adjustable spots, made of metal and wood, are lined up. The base, or rosette, of this solid wood flush ceiling light, 12 cm across, fixes the whole to the ceiling or the wall and stays discreet. Four lengths are offered: the Small with two spots measures 42 cm, the Medium with three spots 80 cm, the Large with four spots 100 cm and the X-Large with five spots 120 cm, all 22 cm high. Under a 2.40 m ceiling that height leaves 2.18 m beneath the fitting, which clears the usual 2.10 m, so keep it away from doorways. This progression lets you match the solid wood flush ceiling light to the wall, the table or the worktop you want to light. Three finishes are possible: a natural wood colour for a raw and bright look, a walnut colour for a deeper tone, or a gold finish for a more decorative accent. Each spot turns separately, which makes this solid wood flush ceiling light a directional light: you frame a picture, a shelf, a kitchen island or a reading area. In a lounge it can replace a single chandelier with several targeted points; in a corridor it guides the eye along the wall; in a bedroom it gives a supplementary light without an extra lamp. Solid wood brings a warmth that metal tracks do not, and it goes naturally with furniture in oak, ash or walnut. It appeals to those who like functional lighting without giving up material.

Technical details of the solid wood flush ceiling light

On the technical side, this solid wood flush ceiling light has a plug-in LED source already installed, so there are no bulbs to buy. The colour temperature is a warm white of 3000K, close to a classic ambient light, which flatters the wood and cream tones. This solid wood flush ceiling light is not dimmable: the output stays constant, which keeps use simple but means adding table lamps if you want a more subdued mood. It is suited to damp rooms, bathrooms and covered outdoor spaces included, which widens its possible positions for a wooden fitting. The weight of this solid wood flush ceiling light depends on the model: 1.4 kg for the Small, 1.9 kg for the Medium, 2.5 kg for the Large and 2.9 kg for the X-Large. These are reasonable figures, but they call for a careful fixing, and your electrician should choose fixings suited to your ceiling. The double installation, as a flush ceiling light or as a wall light, lets you use the same model in different settings. The solid wood flush ceiling light in its flush version hugs the ceiling, while the wall version works as a horizontal rail of light above a piece of furniture or a bed. The natural, walnut and gold finishes are there to match the rest of your decoration. It stays a fitting that is simple to fit and pleasant to live with, with no complicated adjustment.

Which solid wood flush ceiling light for how many spots

The number of spots decides how you will use this solid wood flush ceiling light. With two spots and 42 cm, the Small lights one precise corner: an entrance console, a reading chair, a small desk. The Medium solid wood flush ceiling light, 80 cm with three spots, suits a dining table, a sofa or a bed. The Large, 100 cm with four spots, goes over a big piece of furniture or along a lounge wall, and the X-Large, 120 cm with five spots, draws a real line of light along the length of a kitchen or a corridor. Once you have chosen your solid wood flush ceiling light, aim the spots alternately to avoid dark areas: some towards the wall, others towards the table. If you hesitate between two sizes, take the longer one, because a wide track looks more harmonious on a ceiling than one that is too short. As the fitting is not dimmable, this solid wood flush ceiling light is best combined with supplementary light for the evenings. Remember to choose the finish, natural wood, walnut or gold, to suit your furniture, your handles and the colour of your walls.

A track of solid wood, adjustable spots, a warm white LED and a choice of finishes: this solid wood flush ceiling light adapts to your room and to the way you light it.
