It comes in four heights, from 60 to 120 cm, pairing a shield in solid anti-corrosion metal with a ribbed diffuser. Its integrated LED module delivers up to 3960 lumens, which makes it an outdoor wall light with genuine architectural weight.

A fluted column outdoor wall light

The reeding is the whole character of this outdoor wall light. The integrated fluted diffuser repeats the grooves of the column and spreads the LED output along them, so the light arrives with relief and texture instead of as a flat panel, and that is what stops a tall fitting looking like signage. Four heights are offered: 60 cm, 75 cm, 100 cm and 120 cm, all at 16 cm wide and 12 cm deep. The 60 cm outdoor wall light suits a modest entrance, while the 100 and 120 cm versions are made for tall walls, set either side of a door or a gate where they behave as architecture rather than as fittings. The black finish is plain and will not date, sitting easily with dark joinery, cladding, concrete or stone, and it stays discreet in a garden as readily as on a terrace. Because the depth is only 12 cm, an outdoor wall light of even the tallest version keeps close to the wall, which matters beside a path or a gate that swings towards it. A pair either side of an opening is the arrangement that reads best, and repeated along a boundary wall at even centres the same fitting becomes a line of light. Spacing, rather than brightness, is what makes that line convincing.

Sealing and output of the outdoor wall light

Built for outdoor use, this outdoor wall light is described as fully sealed, with a hermetic construction made to resist rain and wind. The integrated LED module delivers up to 3960 lumens, and the four versions differ in power: 18 W at 60 cm, 22 W at 75 cm, 32 W at 100 cm and 36 W at 120 cm. Those figures matter, because an outdoor wall light sized for a gatepost will be lost on a modest porch and the reverse is worse. Three colour temperatures are available: warm white at 3000 K for a welcoming arrival, natural white for balanced light, and cool white for something sharper. One point decides how you specify it, so take it seriously: this outdoor wall light is not dimmable. It is controlled by a standard wall switch, which simplifies the installation and reduces the accessories to nothing, but it also means the output you choose at the outset is the output you live with. An outdoor wall light on a switch is also one fewer thing to go wrong on an external circuit. The voltage range of AC 90 to 260 V, with CE, UL and RoHS marks, covers a British supply comfortably. Fixed external wiring belongs to a qualified electrician, and it is worth asking for the supply to be brought out at the exact height you have settled on, since an outdoor wall light of 120 cm is not something to reposition once the render has been made good. Mark the centres out on the wall before anyone drills, and look at them again the next morning.

Choosing the height and colour of your outdoor wall light

Start with the wall and the job. Along a terrace wall or a garden boundary, an outdoor wall light of 100 or 120 cm acts as elegant way-marking, repeated at regular intervals rather than placed once. By a front door, 60 or 75 cm is usually enough. For the light itself, warm white at 3000 K flatters pale render and timber, natural white suits stone and concrete, and cool white underlines a very contemporary elevation. Because this outdoor wall light is not dimmable, choose the wattage deliberately at the start: 18 W or 22 W for an entrance, 32 W or 36 W for a large wall where the light has further to travel. The step from 22 W to 32 W is bigger in practice than it looks on paper. Check the 12 cm depth of the outdoor wall light against anything that passes close, and set a pair at matched heights either side of the opening. Two columns at the same height read as architecture, where two at different heights read as an accident.

Sealed, fluted and offered in four heights, this outdoor wall light brings together anti-corrosion metal, a ribbed diffuser and an LED module of up to 3960 lumens. Pick the height for the wall and the wattage for the distance, and have the connection made properly. Four heights means there is no need to compromise on either.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1089/9878/7409/files/alborra-applique-murale-exterieure-blanc-colonne-1.png?v=1792238222
